Who we are:
Originally the Albany Autumn Classic, the Autumn Classic Charity Horse Show began as an all breed community show in 1985 in Albany, Georgia. The event quickly made a home at the Potter Community Center in South Dougherty County and held successful horse shows year after year. Proceeds from each year's events have benefited numerous non-profit organizations such as Shriner's, the Albany area Hospice, the American Red Cross of SW Georgia and Homes for Our Troops.
In 2010, the Albany Autumn Classic held one of the most successful events to date and proved the Albany Autumn Classic had outgrown the grounds of the Potter Community Center. So, in 2011, the show was moved to the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. Despite our new location, the Autumn Classic has not lost sight of its original intent. This year, proceeds from the open horse show will benefit Lily Pad, a 501(c)3 charitable organization that is regionally recognized for its exceptional delivery of comprehensive services to victims and families impacted by crimes of sexual assault and child sexual/physical abuse. We are also supporting Mission Change. They are a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and taking action concerning the often-overlooked issues that affect our region. Please take the time to learn more about them at www.lilypadcenter.com and www.missionchange.com.
We invite you to join us November 18th, 19th and 20th at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry as we fellowship together and enjoy another successful Autumn Classic Charity Horse Show.
